Innocent Ujah Idibia, better known by his stage name 2Baba, was born in Nigeria on September 18, 1975. He is an Afrobeat singer, musician, composer, producer, and philanthropist.
In addition, he is a businessman, a humanitarian, and a social activist. One of the most well-known vocalists in the African music scene is considered to be him.
He was MTV Europe’s inaugural champion.
Early Life
Born in Jos, Nigeria, Innocent Idibia is also known as 2Baba.
He is a native of the Idoma ethnic group in Benue state’s southern region. He attended Mount St. Gabriel’s Secondary School in Makurdi, Benue State, throughout his early years.
At the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT), Enugu, he continued his education and earned a National Diploma in Business Administration and Management. He had performed at events and shows that were planned back when he was in school.
Later, he quit school to focus on his music career. He was thought to have chosen the stage name 2face (Tuface) in 1996.
He said that he used that name in an effort to distinguish between my personal and professional lives. But in 2016, he formally switched from Tuface to 2Baba as his stage name.
Education
In Makurdi, Benue State, 2Baba attended Mount St. Gabriel’s Secondary School.
At the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT), Enugu, he continued his education and earned a National Diploma in Business Administration and Management.
But he later stopped attending classes so that he could devote himself entirely to his music profession.
Career
Following his departure and the band’s dissolution in 2004 due to some internal strife, each band member pursued a solo musical career. Later, in 2004, he issued his debut solo album, Face 2 Face, making him a successful solo performer.
Later, in 2006, he issued his second album, Grass 2 Grace. He established the music publishing company HYPERTEK ENTERTAINMENT.
Additionally, he initially agreed to a contract with Kennis Music, but he departed and founded Hypertek Entertainment. Along with seven other African singers, he is a member of the Sony All African One Project.
In addition, 2Baba has served as an ambassador for a variety of companies, including Guinness, Nigerian Breweries, and many more. 2019 saw the debut of 2Baba as Oraimo’s first and official brand ambassador.

Personal Life
Annie Macaulay-idibia, an award-winning actress and model from Nigeria, is married to 2Baba. On May 2, 2012, they were united in marriage in a private ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria.
On March 23, 2013, they also took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and a lot of celebrities attended. Olivia Idibia and Isabella Idibia, two girls, were born to them as a blessing.
Sumbo Ajala-Adeoye and Pero Adeniyi were two additional women that 2Baba once dated. Both went on to have his other children. Isabella Idibia, Nino Idibia, Justin Idibia, Innocent Idibia, Olivia Idibia, Rose Idibia, and Zii Idibia are his children.
He once came close to passing away after being shot during an armed robbery at the Oshodi axis in Lagos.
